BCQUILTER
Has anyone from Canada purchased a non csa approved machine? Any problems with insurance etc? What is the real difference?
Sharon M
Hi and welcome to the forum! I checked into purchasing a used non-CSA machine several months ago, and for me it wouldn't have been a problem. I called my insurance agent, who said it would be fine. But you should probably call your own insurance provider just to be sure. I believe the difference between CSA & Non-CSA is the number of fuses. CSA approved machines have one (or two??) extra fuses. I ended up buying new.... the price difference wasn't all that much in the end, so it just made more sense. (And I have the 8 yr warranty) Good luck with your decision!
