pstagl
My customer wants teeny stippling around all the designs and to the edge of this quilt. The size is about 40 inches square. Would it be better to have the tiny stippling close to the appliques and then a little bit larger as I work in the larger open spaces? I also think that there should be quilting in the tree and the grass. I haven't done anything like this before and could use some advice and suggestions. Thanks, Patty
CherylUribe
I would keep the stippling consistent. This way the quilt will hang better. I would also outline the design first and stipple from outline.
Myrna Ficken
I agree with Cheryl. You want to keepy your quilting consistant or it will not hang well. Radiating lines would be pretty as well. Pretty quilt. Myrna
Guest Linda S
If the customer wants tiny micro stippling, that's what she should get. And, she should be charged accordingly. Linda
pstagl
Thanks for the input. I was afraid that tiny stippling in the large areas wouldn't look good. Patty
TishMarshall
are radiating lines something line echoing?
JoAnnHoffman
Consistant mircro stippling, I agree, but use green thread in the grass area and do some curlycue type of fill or a different fill in each color area, something different than micro stippling. I would outline the tree trunk and grass area at least with cream thread on the outside.
