KQC
I am still exploring my new Millenium, so bare with me. While sewing on my "practice" quilt, I noticed bottom side of stitches are very loopy. Is this a bobbin tension or machine tension problem? And which way to do I adjust? Thanks
JoAnnHoffman
Top tension needs to be tighter, turn clockwise to tighten. Keep tightening and checking till you get it right. Your bottom tension: if you hold the bobbin thread the bobbin should barely crawl down the thread. If it stands still, it's too tight, if it drops it's too loose. Adjust the bottom tension first, and adjust it everytime you change types of threads. I have one bobbin for each type of thread I have, so fine, signature, prewound bobbins, etc. This will come naturally to you soon.
