Bekah
Hey fellow adventurers. Yesterday my beasty started acting up and I am not sure what to even check. she is jerking when I try to do curves, feels like she is hung up somewhere it is not constant but I will get to moving along pretty good and all of a sudden it is jerking like something is bumping agains it. I have cleaned the rails, cleaned the wheels, checked everything I know to check, even got a string and tied my cord up to the wall thinking that was it, Nope! I know it is probably some simple thing I am overlooking but I am stumped so decided to ask the "experts" (meaning anyone who has been LAing longer than me) thank you
chickenscratch
Bekah, I don't know if this will help or not, but Connie told me last year that if my machine was running jerkily then it was because I had the motor turned too slow for what I was doing. I now turn it up to about 4 and it runs smoother. Also, is your back take up roller high enough that it is not dragging down your quilting? That may not be it, but those are things I have had problems with before.
Bekah
thanks Teresa, I will check the take up bar. come to think of it, my girlfriend who has MS was over the other day visiting and she was leaning on it. that could be it. I am still learning about machine speed so that could be it too.
GERRY
Hay Bekha:) Sorry you are having issues with your Beastie, I can't help, but I hope you get it sorted soon. Maybe she need's a little soft music to sooth her more savage behaviours
