belquilt Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 Any one out there - can you give me a tip on how to attach the Micro Drive to a Liberty? I tried doing it today and it looked like it was too small to fit my machine. The box says Discovery and Ultima II so I called to asked and Linda said I had the right one. I couldn't get the two pieces close enough to get them screw together. Maybe I need another person to help? WHat am I doing wrong?:mad:
Myrna Ficken Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 Hi Beth To attach the MD hold one piece on each side. They screw together on the left side when you are standing at the front of your machine. To get the screws started, start one at a time, you can't screw one screw in very far and then get the other one started. Once you get both screws started them place them the proper distance from you quilt top, I like about a quarter in clearence. If you need help give me a call, phone number below. Myrna
SherryRogers Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 I found that once I got it installed I found it better to leave it in place. If I wanted to remove the handles, it is easier to remove the 3 screws that hold each handle on and leave the mounting hardware attached to the machine.

Sherry, I like your idea of leaving the mount on the machine and just take the handles off if needed. I don't know that I could get the whole thing on myself again! Thanks again for your tips.
