Joan
I have someone who wants my Millennium to quilt a reversible quilt, the borders are quite wide, BUT they match the borders with the other side!! Both sides are pieced with 4" triangles-if that's a concern. Anyone have any suggestions?
sue in Australia
Hi Joan I guess you mean that you have two tops of equal size and that they should be quilted back to back. The trouble that you could get into is that when you quilt, the backing and batting shrink a little with the quilting process and so you could end up with a little shorter back. Since the borders are quite deep you could guess at how much shrinkage you might have and start quilting a little down from the edge on the top or if you want to try this on your top you could cut the borders of your top down a little. I think with medium density overall quilting on a queensize quilt shrinkage is around1- 1 1/2"overall. I would meander or do edge to edge quilting on this type of quilt.
