k8 Posted February 5, 2007 Report Share Posted February 5, 2007 I searched the archives and have read several discussions on the smaller needles - and the one thing that comes up is that the eye of the needle then becomes too small for the standard thread. I have a commercial embroidery machine and the needles I use are very small - 9, 10, or 11 usually but have large eyes. The designation on the pkg that refers to eye size is: DBxK5. I did compare these to the quilting ones, and of course they are about 1/16" too short... Does anyone know if this is available for the quilting machine needles?
