sandylachowski
Has anyone quilted Woven Wire by Laughing Lizzies? I've got one from a customer and I'm stumped. My technical side says I should follow the pathways of each colorway but the starts and stops would be horrendous. I'm stuck on trying to preserve the woven effect but maybe there is something that I'm not seeing. Would an all-over work on something like this? dlnewell
I would use a light colored thread that matches or blends with the dots on the border print. You could quilt a different design, say swirls or something round in the orange, and maybe wiggly or straight lines in the others. I would SID the yellow and blue narrow strips and don't quilt anything in them. To me, they look like the wire sitting on top of the zigzag. No thread changes, just SID and different quilting designs. You might be able to work out a quilting path that doesn't require a lot of starts and stops, just some backtracking. yankiequilter
To simplify things you could do an E2E in the body of the quilt and a separate design for the outside border. As Debbie suggested, use a thread matching the border.
