Sheila
Help, I'm out of ideas. Have a quilt with a triple border, first border is 3 inches, second is 4 inches, and third is 7 inches. What do I do in this 14 inch space? EEEKKK!!! The first two borders are almost solids and the third has a print. The center blocks are appliqued flip flops if that helps. Thanks in advance for any advice. Sheila P.S. "Hi" Sherry & Judy L.
Mo
Sheila, Treat the 2 smaller borders as one. Especially if the borders are solid - the quilting will really show up. Try a feather treatment, or freehand fill. The outside border, do something simple with straight lines. Straight lines show up better on busy fabrics. Clear as mud? sdrogers
Aloha Sheila! You could treat all 3 borders as one and do piano keys. I wouldnt go to to much trouble since the large fabric is a busy print. Hope this helps! PS I'll be in Maui next month getting married! I wish I had more time to spare to see you!
