pigletaz
I want to make sleeping bags (100% cotton ones) for my children - Has anyone done this, if so, what has been your experience with quilting it on a long arm (before attaching the zipper I assume). Thanks!
Sandra Darlington
Hi, I don't have a LA, but I don't see why you couldn't do it..at least part of it. I made sort of a sleeping bag for my baby granddaughter. It was more like a bunting, I guess, but the same principle. If you quilt it flat, then take it off of your LA machine, square it up, then finish the zipper and binding on your home sewing machine, I think it would be great. Quite nice, in fact. *I think you are reffering to the type of bags to use in the house for a pajama party rather than something to use camping or backpacking. pigletaz
Yes, just for in home use, not actually outdoor camping. But, we do intend to RV camp in the future, so it would work for that too. My kids hate the nylon/polyester ones because they just roast in those. We live in AZ! where it is hot hot hot. Thanks for any input here.
