She has asked me if I could use black thread on the top and monofilament thread in the bobbin. Has anyone out there tried this? Does it work? Guest Linda S Posted March 12, 2005 Report Share Posted March 12, 2005 I suppose you could do that, but I'd be more inclined to try a matching shade of Bottom Line. It's as fine as monofilament and, if it matches, you wouldn't see it much anyway. But, I suppose in most cases, the customer should get what they want. If you use a poly-based mono like Superior's Monopoly, you may have better luck. I've not used mono in the bobbin yet. Linda Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
