carmencs
I have an ongoing problem where I set the thread tension and everything seems ducky. I stitch for a while and all seems good. But when I finish quilting and unload the quilt, much of the stitching is good, but there are places where suddenly the top thread is pulled into small loops on the back for 3 - 5 inches. Also, I have places where I get small birds nests, apparently unrelated to starting or stopping. I have a Millenium, and I am using YLI Machine Quilting thread on top and prewound bobbins from APQS on bottom. Any ideas? I've been struggling with this for a couple of moths, and have alread replaced the upper tensioner and the bobbin case and the hook assembly, all without joy. mark
Have you tried different kinds of threads to see what happens? I have seen this problem with some threads. I only say this since you have changed so much on the machine. Mark APQS
carmencs
I have tried many different threads and the YLI works best - with others I get frequent thread breakage as well as more severe looping and nesting. CarmenCS
