jacksong
I\'ve been doing some small samplers using Sharon Schambers newest designs. They give me a chance to practice. I plan to use a couple at Christmas for gift exchanges and a guild raffle next year. They are quick and easy. Good luck.
bisemann
My church quilt group does a raffle quilt every year which the tickets are $5/one or $20/five. We usually bring in about $2500-$3200 after all said and done. This year we had extra blocks and made a mini-quilt identical to the queen size. This was auctioned off at the Fiesta auction. We set a MINIMUM reserve on the mini-quilt at $200. If we didn\'t get that for it, we were not letting it go. We ended up getting $250 for it. (It might have helped that several of the ladies from the quilt group bid on it too...but didn\'t win it). I have seen other "minimum reserves" set for other items. Maybe this will help someone else.
