Joules Quilting
Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could give me some advise as I\'m fairly new to long arm quilting for customers. I have a client who has dropped off a quilt with 14" appliqued blocks, each block has a different sash or border on each side. Which means 4 different colours to deal with. Where each block meets the 2"sashes are two different colours(4"total). I want to do one pattern over the two sashes but what colour thread do I use ? The customer has about 6 different fabrics from blue, brown, burgandy, green, purple and teal. Should I treat each 2" sash seperately or some how combine both which I think would be easier. Mary Beth
Depending on the color of the blue, brown, burgandy, green, yada, yada...I use Mother Goose by Signature, but look it up and find the type of thread you like in a color close to Mother Goose. It is very blendable for the rich, jewel tones. You didn\'t say what color the backing is, sometimes that makes a difference too.
Joules Quilting
Thanks for your reply Mary Beth, I\'ve got the Mother Goose sig. thread and will give it a go. The backing fabric is a mottle rust, brown and blue so I\'m using the sig. thread Rust.
