kcummings
Does anyone own one of these quilters, My sisiter and I want a long arm to fit our grace quilter, a regular machine doesn't seem to meet our needs, we need something with a wider opening. Any opinions on the Wow or Bailey quilter? Kcummings
SilverThreads
In late 2004 I purchased a WOW quilter and kept it for a week only to tear it down and spend $250.00 shipping it back. Having quilted on a Nolting for several years I found several things lacking on the WOW. One was the speed of the machine. It could not perform as well in slow speeds. This is important in freehand and pantographs with lots of angles and lines. Another problem was the rollers. They come in two pieces and are put together with wooden dowels in the center. This causes a tension problem with the center "drooping". I also had some problems with the entire table tipping toward me when trying to work from the front of the machine. I purchased a used Ultimate II from APQS in early 2005 and have loved every moment of quilting! I may have been a bit spoiled going from a good longarm Nolting to the WOW, but I am MOST Definately spoiled on the APQS. Good luck and let us know how things work out for you.
