peglu
Ok, so here is the story. About 10 years ago I decided to try to applique. I had no idea what I was doing, so I got some double sided iron on, cut out my shapes, and ironed 'em on without trimming them. Yep, layered 'em right up. Then I threw the blocks into a quilt, again not knowing what I was doing. It turned out terrible. Everything is crooked, and the seams are all coming apart. And I pieced the whole thing in black thread. I asked my DM (an alteration shop owned) if she could fix it for me. Well, she told me it was the most pitiful thing she had ever seen and the best thing she could do with it was to give it a proper burial . Not sure why I kept it. Maybe because we had soo many laughs over it. Well, look at it now. Think I will send it to MOM. This is the before. (still struggling with pics) After is in a separate post. Sorry. RitaR
It may be wonky and a bit loopyloo... I still like it.. so bright and pretty. We have all had to learn, and sometimes the hard way, before we learn the better way to do things.. I'd hate to show some of mine. RitaR
