ramona-quilter
I just bought a 6-yr old Ultimate I a few months ago. It has more bells and whistles (1-stitch, thread cutter, electric roller advance) than my first machine. But it does not have a stitch regulator. Does anybody know if the Ultimate I has channel locks? What do they look like? Is a retrofit possible?
Guest LA
Hi Linda, The Green Millennium has the stitch regulator & channel locks. Currently we have sold out on these. There are the Ultimate 1 body that is completely remanufactured with all new components. In a word, it is re-born a Millennium! http://www.apqs.com/search/millenniumgreen.htm APQS is working on the possibilities of looking into re-tro fits, there is a chance we may have more Green Millies in the near future. Stay tuned!
Grammie
You can attach a large clamp used in office and just clamp before and after the wheel depending on which direction you want to lock. This way the wheel will not roll. Darlene Epp shows a photo of this in her CD on using pantos and such. I can't see why this wouldn't work for those without Channel Locks. John Mitchell
The Ult. I has a manual channel lock front to back. It is located on the axle on the right side and it just a bolt that screws down and contacts the carriage. You can use pony clamps on the back rail for a horizontal lock
