quiltermidwife
Does anyone else find that the thick mains cable rubs up and down on the sharp back edge of the carriage tray? I have already noticed wear on this cable and can see in time it could wear down to the bare wire! Whar have others done about this without restricting the movement of their machine. RitaR
We turned Penny\'s to the top of the machine, used clear packing tape to hold it in place.. We also filed the edge and sides of the carriage off, as it was snagging clothes.. RitaR
sewfriendly
Hi, Christi here. I recieved in the mail today a piece of nylon channel from APQS. It had instruction to place it on to the rear of the carriage to stop any damage that might occur from the thick cord rubbing against it. It just showed up. I made no calls or inquirerys. So I expect you to will get on very soon. I was surprised when I went to install it quite a bit of black residue from my power cord. When you get it make sure to install. Just thick what could happen if that power cord were to wear through all the way while your hands were running the machine!! I am wondering if this is the cause of a random pulling/ tugging that I have been experiancing. I have not been able to figure it out. Hope this was it and that now it will stop. quiltermidwife
Hi Christi Well that is interesting. Surprised it was missed in the development process. I will watch out for it in the post together with the fly wheel cover I\'m expecting, that didn\'t come with my machine. Thanks for the post.
