Holly once you have it set at the right level then the lift goes up or down in the right increments and you don't have to get it "right" again. I've seldom closed my cabinet up but I wanted to make sure I had the option to do so if I needed to.

I have the same as Madelyn & Sandra and love it. It is nice to have everything right where I need it. I have an embroidery machine so when I am doing embroidery I can easily lift the table. I love having the flat surface. It makes a huge difference!!!!

Marion,
sorry to hear you are having problems with your machine. You should give Amy a call and I'm sure she'll be able to trouble shoot your problem. Unfortunately electronics sometimes go bad but APQS will take care of you. It could be as simple as a wire coming unconnected or maybe a part gone bad. Either way they are fantastic at working you through the problem. Good luck and I hope life gets a little easier for you.

Deb I use Quilters dream and have never had a problem with it. It is my batting of choice!

I'm with Connie I love Quilters Dream Wool for wall hangings. I have tried Dream Green. I've used most of QD products and I think all of them would make nice wall hangings. I have 80/20 too but not my favorite. I end up with batting pokies a lot.

Linda,
I have a Viking, can't remember the number off the top of my head. I have had it for over 10 years. I love it. The thing to be careful of is tension. It seems that some machines do not maintain their tension well and that is when you get problems. Mine works wonderfully.
