Will either one of those work? The stitching around the feathers will be very close . How much will it stand out? Will one layer batting work on trapunto parts? 8. Thank you all so much. I am happy to know I can cut the borders on the length. There is a quilt teacher in my guild who says never to cut them on the length. The quilt is Shadow of a Bearpaw. I will take a picture and post as I need help on "how to quilt". Gotta get busy and cut those borders. Thanks so much for your help.
  9. My border fabric has a diagonal design. It would be easier to cut it on the length rather than wof. Is there a rule as to which way it works best? What do I need to do? Thanks Janice
  10. I am happy to have room for a longarm and a sewing machine. My room is small . I have stuff jammed everywhere as I have little storage. . When I sew or quilt it looks like a tornado struck. My cutting table is made smaller because that is where my dm sits. I love the piecing and quilting but you wouldn't want to see a picture of my room. I am happy to be able to do this and enjoy every minute of it. Enjoy your lovely rooms.
  11. It is beautiful. I love hand quilting. Your piecing is also beautiful.
  12. Wow!! What a beautiful quilt and what a beautiful job you did on the quilting. I love all of your designs. How long did it take you to decide what designs you were going to use and where to put them. You should be proud. You did a wonderful job. Janice
