LONG LOOP THREADS

HELP I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING WITH THIS ULT 2 FOR 2 DAYS

FIRST DAY THREAD WAS SHREADING AND BIG LOOPS WHEN GOING UP

CLEANED IT GOOD CHANGED NEEDLES PUT NEW SO FINE THREAD ON

AND COATS PREWOUND BOBBIN IN SHREADING HAS STOPPED BUT AM STILL GETTING BIG LOOPS ONLY WHEN GOING UP AND THREAD BREAKING ABOUT EVERY FOOT

I HAVE LOOSENED AND TIGHTENED TENSIONS ALL DAY

I AM CALLING APQS TOMORROW

Hang in there Ruth--some things to keep in mind as you adjust the tensions to try to find a sweet spot--

Make sure the bobbin is in the case correctly. When you hold the bobbin face-up in your hand and pull on the thread, the bobbin should spin clockwise.

Pull up the bobbin thread and thread the needle with the top thread. Pull the bobbin thread to the left with your left hand. Now pull the top thread through the needle straight towards the back. The force it takes to pull those threads separately should match. It is something you will get the feel for. That is a good place to start when adjusting the tension. If the top thread pulls harder, loosen the top--or tighten the bobbin. Do a test stitch-out to see how it looks, then adjust again if you need to. I hope this helps you a bit--you will get the hang of it--promise!!
