ssissenwein
I have a customer that gives me batting. She gave me Hobbs organic 100% cotton without scrim. I am a big Hobb's fan but I don't think this batt is ideal for a Long Arm - I noticed that any tugging causes it to tear. She told me her next quilt top is for her daughter who wants a thin quilt and asked what she should buy if I don't want to work with the current batt. I believe she does want cotton. I know Hobb's 80/20 would be puffy. I thought there might be a weight of Quilter's Dream cotton that would be thin but easy to work with. I thought of Warm and Natural - but that would be heavy. What would you suggest? We are in metro Houston so she should be able to find most anything. Sara
jeri
I am putting a qult on right now that the customer sent with request wt Quilter's Dream. I can't remember if I've quilted any with it or not. Select works great but it's a bit heavier, though not as heavy as W & N. I'll let you know how it works later today. jeri

LindaB
For someone wanting a lightweight batting I've found QD Request loft works great.
