circlelord Posted January 13, 2010 Report Share Posted January 13, 2010 Jane, Are you using contrasting thread? If you are, there will always be visible thread crossing in the center. It is a good way to get the feel for doing the feathers, but when you do a quilt, you should use thread that is similar in shade to the fabric. Otherwise, you have to get a feel for moving thru the groove. It is better to go faster rather than slowly. Email me more details and I will see if I can give you more help.
