longarmlisa
After 9 1/2 hours of stressing over the bottom border on that large quilt, taking it off the frame, removing the borders and resewing them on and taking into account all the great suggestions here, I did the following: I purchased Magic Sizing for $1.12 and sprayed the border and attempted to straighten it out with the spray and steam. I still needed to take about a one inch tuck in the whole border which I sewed down and then quilted over. I have a couple of tiny pleats in the piano border and am going to attempt to remove them after work tonight. But overall it looks pretty good. I am hoping that she will think so too. I think when it is washed the little weird spots will disappear. At least, that is what my mind wants to believe... As a result of the bottom borders, I spent over 27 hours on this quilt. I don't even feel like I can charge for the extra time, because I could not make it perfect. Oh well.....a hard lesson learned.
