TinaC Posted August 15, 2006 Report Share Posted August 15, 2006 Thanks for all the wonderfull compliments. I used a cream to brown verigated by YLI and as for the bumps I never noticed. I practiced alot on paper until I got my rythmn and then moved to fabric. I guess you could say I took a leap of faith and jumped in feet first. I'm working on my first competion piece right now. Once I've got it done I'll post photos. It's all feathers with a custom fill. The feathers look like trapunto. And then I've used over 3000 swarovski crystals to outine the feathers and the applique border. I't took me a year to piece and I've used over 1000 yards of thread. I still have crystals to put on but the show is at the end of September. If I get a good response locally I'm going to send it on to other shows. Thanks again for the compliments. I saw a quilt at the fair yesterday that had crystals on it just in places of swirls.
