kwilter
I'm stippling. The top looks great. The bottom looks great except when I'm going around some stipples from right to left. When I check the backing I see that at that point the bottom thread straightlines until I'm out of the stipple and heading back left to right. Then it goes back to normal. My question is...is the top or bottom too tight or loose? I'm about 1/3rd of the way thru this quilt and would love to hear from someone as quickly as possible. Thanks. Guest Linda S
It sounds as though your bobbin tension is too tight. Most of your thread tension problems can be answered at a link from the main APQS page: http://apqs.com/quiltingmachinetension.htm Linda
Stagecl
Get yourself a TOWA bobbin gauge...it is wonderful for checking bobbin tension...takes all the guess work out of the bobbin. I don't buy alot of gadgets, but this one is worth it. Cheryl Mathre Stone Creek Quilting Sandy Hook, VA
