eyelashes

Recommended Posts

I would start with tightening the top tension. I've found that I need to have my top tension tighter than I think it should be and the bottom tension looser than I think it should be. I crank the top tension down til the stitches look pulled too tight, then back off slowly til I get a good top stitch.

I have found that it's easy to get good stitches going straight but it's when you're going in those tight circles and on the diagonal that I have to have tension perfect in order to get good stitches.

Every now and then, I'll even change the tension settings when doing SID vs. stippling. I've found when doing tiny stippling, the tension can be the most difficult to get right.

I'm doing a ton of little round "stones" right now and it took several adjustments to avoid eyelashes on the bottom and yet get a good stitch on top.

Superior Threads has a great article on tension that might help you: http://superiorthreads.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=307&Itemid=100

Good luck!
