bsalmon26
I have both the vertical and horizontal thread holders mounted on top of my machine. The instructions were limited. I am wondering - how do you thread your needle when using one of these front thread holders? I have recently seen a couple of posts on this topic. I realized that I don't know what the correct thread path is. Thanks! Brenda Salmon Ultimate I but looking for a Millie head.
LindaB
Hi Brenda: I have both the horizontal & verticle too. I use the same thread path as if I were using the threadholder in the back of the machine. EXCEPT.....I do not use the 3 holer in the middle of the machine. I just go straight to the 3 holer up front and wind it as usual. It works for me just fine. :D Make sense? Happy Quilting,

juliagraves
I believe I've read that if you are using a speciality thread like a metallic you may want to go through only 1 or 2 of the 3 holes - practice with the tension and vary the number of holes - the more holes = the more tension; less holes = less tension.
