pamb850
A friend called yesterday to see if I knew how to get lead pencil marks off a quilt. Someone had marked quilting lines with a pencil and then quilted it. It has been washed, and the lines didn't come out. Any ideas?
quiltmonkey
I would try (small test area first) using some Shout that comes in the gel form (not the spray bottle). Let it set for a while and rub lightly to see if the marks come out.
yankiequilter
You could try Sew Clean. On the bottle it says, "...removes ball point pen ink, pencil & crayon marks, lipstick & make-up, fingerprints, blood, grass stains, oil & grease, rust stains, coffee & soft drinks, chewing gum...and a lot more!" If you can't find it locally it is available on line. I believe I got mine from Pam Clark at a quilt show.
