dancingstitcher
When taking my class with Myrna Ficken I told her how my quilts were vibrating and I found it hard to see a marked pattern when stitching. My black back bar was set too high! She suggested that I set it so that the clearance between the bar and the throat of the head could only come up to my first knuckle on my hand. Yesterday, with DH's help, we screwed the brackets on either end further down. She also said to loosen the quilt a bit so it's not like a drum. IT WORKED BEAUTIFULLY! Thank you Myrna. shadows4
I'm confused. All of my bars are black and the black one that my "back" is attached to is on the front and not close to the throat. Do you mean the takeup bar on the panto side? And to make me sound even more stupid, how are you holding your hand?
