Need ideas - don't have pic - Snail Trail?

Our quilting group at the UO has been commissioned to make a Snails Trail quilt for one of the administrative offices there. It is a wonderful mixture of colors - purple being predominant, but it also includes green, gold, blue, burgundy,white, in all sorts of different fabrics, but mostly batiks. I will be the one to quilt it. Any ideas for me? Has anyone done a snails trail?

Linda, being a newbie, I don't have all the answers either. I am trying to look at the quilt and ask : Do I want people to notice the quilt or the quilting? If you want them to notice the quilt, then go easy on the thread color; If the quilt is kinda boring, play with the threads.

This is an example of a Snail's trail. Our's will not have the inner border. The Snails will just trail into the outer border.

What did you take the image from? I use Quilt Pro, But this looks like another tool that might be is use. Thanks

Hi Don, I just copied the picture from a webpage by right clicking on the picture and going to properties, then highlighting and copying the webaddress of the image.
