MarieBrewer
How much space do you guys have between your quilt top bar and the needle plate on the sewing machine head? Also, are your leveler bar and your quilt top bar level with each other or should one be higher than the other? This is just measuring the quilt top bar with the leader rolled on it. I seem to have some drag when I first start working on a quilt. By the time I have rolled it a couple of times, it flows up and down the rails much better. Thanks for your help. Myrna Ficken
the leveler bar should be set so you can just slip your finger tips under between the bar and the throat of you machine. Where are you feeling the drag? Myrna
MarieBrewer
The leveler bar is fine. It's the quilt top roller bar that I'm wondering about. The drag is always at the front of the machine head. When it is nearly extended towards the back things seem to be much better.
SherryRogers
Hi Marie You can adjust the top roller as well. Remove the end bolt and have someone hold the bar while you adjust the hip bolts. It does sound as if the bar is sitting too low.
