Lifting table - Screws react differently ...

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Sorry but I had no better idea how to describe this.

I wanted to rise my table and noticed that two of the four "screws" react differently.

I loosend the big bolt one and then turned the smaller nut.

At two of the legs, the leg lifted because the big "screwee" part came out, this is were the big bolt one is.

At the other two legs, the big "screwee" part stayed in place but a smaller part came out of that big "screwee" part.

At the picture you see the upper arrow which I call big "screwee" part. The lower arrow points at that smaller piece.

I am not sure which is reacting correct.

If the way as shown on the picture is not correct, please who can I fix that?

Any help appriciated.

Thank you Myrna.

I did only touch the big screw right below the big bolt as you said. But it did not turn that part it is intended for.

Gosh, it is realy difficult to explain something not knowing all the technical lingo.

Well, I figured out that all three screws work together and each has two function. Depending on loosening or tightning to achieve the work for the counterpart.

Anyway I managed to get the smaller part back into the big one, and then lifted very nicely my table.

Now, it has a nice high and is all level again. Uncleaned the head moves like on ice :)

Thanks for your help, Myrna.

Missing your smile and your teaching pace.
