coverlea
Hi all, I would love to hear your thoughts on this quilt. Wendy and I made and recorded the making of this quilt recently.. It is for her new granddaughter, Amy... It is a creative mermaid quilt, which started as a drawing on the fabric and grew from there... We hope you like it :-) Michelle
sylkamode
Wow, really neat quilt! Do I see ribbons attached to the quilt as hair? Wonderful! Sylvia Kaptein Sylka-Mode www.sylkamode.com
Lisa Thiesssen
What fun! What did you use for the paint? Thanks for sharing this sweet, innovative quilt.
coverlea
Thank you for the great comments girls :-) Sylvia - Yes there is ribbon in her hair as well as colored raw sheep's wool.. Lisa - Wendy has been dyeing and painting on fabric all her life and used just a normal fabric paint.. I can ask her more details if you'd like? It sure was a fun quilt to make and the 4 month old girl who has it hanging in her nursery, is quite taken with it.. Apparently she wont take her eyes off it :-) It is great when the end user is soo HAPPY with your final product.. LOL Michelle
annlittle1
Wow, I don't know how you did it, but I swear I can see ripples in the water! Painting, I presume. Someone is really talented! Phyllis Hughes Oklahoma City, OK
