kimjohny
I am unable to get the needle screw tight when I insert a needle. I can tighten the screw when there is no needle but as soon as I put the needle up in the needle bar the screw pops out. I have tried both sides of the needle bar and no luck, the screw just wobbles. Can the screw be stripped even though I can thread it without a needle? I'm hard pressed to think so. I'm at a standstill until I get this fixed. It was suggested that I go to the hardware store and purchase a new screw. First thing tomorrow I'll give it a try. The only way to get it to tighten even a little is to try and angle the screw. That's not a solution. HELP!!!
Liam
It is possible that your screw is stripped on the bottom threads. I would try a new screw or wrap the screw you have with plumber's thread tape.
kimjohny
Tried that multiple times, no luck. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm off to the hardware store first thing today, will try a new screw.
