Nadia Wilson
I had a fuse go on my new machine and was wondering if anyone else had this happened. I'm curious because I am not sure what I did to have a fuse blow. I have put a call in to APQS and also posted a message on the help forum. Any ideas? smorris
Hi Nadia I think it was when you were stitching those zippers on you probably hit one of the teeth and it temporarily jammed the needle against the hook assembly and that will shut the motor off so as not to do any more damage - it blows as a safety feature. I've had ladies cleaning out their hook assemblies with a cloth and then starting the machine before removing the cloth and that does it too. Nadia Wilson
Thanks for the insight, I am positive I did not hit any teeth, my machine just stopped while I was stitching a straight line. I thought I was doing pretty good installing my zippers until it just stopped! I am glad to hear though, that others have blown fuses too. We'll just have to figure out why mine blew! I bet as soon as I talk to APQS help they'll have me up and running like new! I'm such a newbie at this machine!
