9patch
I have been having unusual (happily) trouble with top thread breakage and bobbin thread railroading yesterday and today. I have checked all the usual suspects and replaced needles (twice), fussed with tensions, replaced a pigtail.....and so. Had the left side panel off and checked in there, oiling points there. In doing so I noticed that my flywheel is squeaky when I turn it. After generously oiling the points in there (all in front of the wheel), it still squeaks. I do not think that there is any thread in there...not that I can see anyway. (I have done the dreaded packing the area with thread....but only once.) Does it matter that the wheel squeaks? Should I investigate for thread some more? Removing more machinery? Should I oil the area behind the flywheel? Would any of this contribute to the breakage and poor stitch problem? I really appreciate help!!!!
LindaB
I think I'd be contacting Mark or Amy in the morning... Good luck...
9patch
It's probably too much to hope for that someone has had this issue....and is checking in on a Sunday.....AND that it is easily fixed!!!! I can dream, can't I? Thanks, Linda. Looks like I'm out of business for the day.
