ClaudiaPfeil
Hello all! My millenium is delivered:-) and some customers have already given me their quilts to quilt! I know some charges for the differnet kinds of quilting (edge to edge, border and stitch in the ditch) but only in square feet sizes! I want to know, how does it funcion with metric sizes? Does there exist a form for metric? I would be glad, if there is anybody who could help me:-) Best wishes from Germany Claudia www.quilt-und-co.de
Guest LA
Hello Claudia! Glad to hear that you have your Millennium set up. Try this link for your measurement conversions, it will calculate units of inches to Millimeters. http://www.metric-conversions.org/length/inches-to-millimeters.htm Can't wait to meet you next month with our dear friend Sue! HoosierQuilts
Claudia you charge according to your skills, and whatever the market will bear. I don't know what your German customers would pay to have a quilt quilted. When We started to break in the Millennium and the proficiency was down we had a lower rate which was adjusted over the years to get to the final price per square inch. When you have that, it is easy to convert that to square centi meter. or decimeter if you like. In your case I would charge by decimeter. BTW I measure every quilt in milli meters to center the quilt tops and mark the E2E rows. It seems to be so much easier and accurate for me.
