guineasrule
My machine is new and the machine I use to sew on is pretty heavy duty. I am finding the with the millie if a pause, hardly at all, my bobbin thread breaks. Is this just how this machine reacts? It's pretty frustrating. I'll probably just have to get use to it, unless some of you don't think this is normal. I not at all use to the S/R yet as I've never had one. JudyL
I think this is how all machines work. If you try free motion quilting on your domestic sewing machine (with the feed dogs down) and keep the fabric in the same spot with the machine going, the thread will break. You CANNOT stop and stay in one place, even for just a second, with the needle in motion without the thread breaking. When I had my Ult. I, I learned to hit the stop button just as I was coming to where I wanted to stop . . and kinda coast into my stop.
