CucumberQuilting
Well, what used to be the second Saturday in July, Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show has become a whole week PLUS of great activities. If you are here anytime during the week you can take the Around the Block Quilt Walk of businesses who are sponsoring the show. Each business is listed in a directory that you can pick up anywhere in town. There are quilts on display at each business, some of the quilts are for sale. The newest cool thing at the show this year is the Wish Upon A Card fundraiser. The fabric cards are for sale and auction to raise money for cancer diagnosis and for Camp Sunrise, for children who have lost someone in their lives due to cancer. About 500 cards have been made and donated for this event. Some have been framed and displayed around town. The rest can all be found at the Sisters Art Works. It's a bit off the main track but easy to find. From the Stitchin' Post go North Across Cascade Street(the main Hwy) two blocks and turn right (East). CucumberQuilting
5:30 AM is pretty darn early and you'll be here in plenty of time to see it all -- if that's even possible! Where your walkin' shoes, a change of shoes is a really good idea. I'll have cold water and a chair waiting for you at our display. (No free foot rubs though!) Bring your sunglasses, camera, a few $$$ and a friend. If you can't find a friend to come with you , then you'll have opportunities to make new ones!!! Patch
I meant, I wish it left earlier IN THE WEEK, LOL!! Yes, that's pretty darn early in the DAY! Thanks, I'll need that chair, and yes, I'll be making new friends as well as meeting my old one there. What fun it's going to be!
