Carola Posted August 13, 2007 Report Share Posted August 13, 2007 I was staying in S.F. 6 or 7 years ago while my husband had a business trip so during the day I was able to take the public transportation or walk all over that city and I found Britex. One of the days that I was in there Kathryn Crosby was also there wearing capris and and scarf headband and keds buying fabric to make clothes for her grandchildren. She was very friendly and interested in what the rest of us were doing with fabric. At that time I was making pj's for all my grandkids (because they really needed new ones) and here she was making clothes for her grands too. I had never thought about "stars" having a love for fabric and sewing until then. It was especially ironic since one of my friends in Tn had a received a Christmas globe with a nativity scene in it and the face on baby Jesus was Bing Crosy's.
