ervinjac
I have a mandala design I’d like to quilt in the middle of my quilt. The circle I want to put it into is 42 inches in diameter. How do I place a circular design and how to I break it up so I can quilt it in sections?
Gail O
Find the centre of your quilt. Tie a piece of chalk or erasable marker to the end of a piece of string, and cut the string so that it's 21 inches from the untied end to the marker. Pin the untied end to the centre of your quilt, and use the marker end to mark out a 42" circle. With a long straight edge, you can divide the circle into as many sections as you want.
