Giftedhands
OK, I was getting ready to "wax the rails" when this little gold thingy dropped onto the plexiglass. It looks like a cup, but the threads appear to be on the inside...where did it come from? Also someone mentioned a maintenance video? I need one of these! mark
Hi Cynthia, That sounds like the little cap that goes on the end of the little gold knob that you screw down to lock the machine head to the carriage. If that's what it is...it has backwards threads. So when you screw it back on, remember to turn it like you are taking it off, then it will go back on. Take care, Mark APQS

Guest Linda S
I had the same thing happen to me Cynthia and could not understand for the life of me how to get it back on! Good thing Mark told me it was reverse threaded. I'm sure I would have tried to force the thing on there if he hadn't given me some basic help! Sometimes the answer is so simple.
