annlittle1
Laurie G--I wind my bobbins with the holes on the outside, but when I put them into the bobbin case the holes go inside the case and the smooth side is on the outside. I think that the important thing is that the thread is coming off off the bobbin in a clockwise fashion (meaning it goes over the top of the bobbin inside the bobbin case before it slips into the slit where it goes out.) I hope that made sense. Its late and I should already be in bed. My preference is the same as Linda S'. I seemed to have more tension problems when I used the pre-wound bobbins. Of course, that was when I first started LA quilting and I seemed to always have tension problems then. Most of them were caused by operator error.
