georgia
I just recently accepted three lapquilts (via mail order) from a sweet client who insists "just quilt them however you think is best" (when will I ever learn??) Usually this is a great chance to try a new technique or pattern. The problem is that two of these have featured blocks with printed motifs at the center that are fairly detailed (great drawings, another of teddy bears). I hesitate to quilt over the motifs since that will detract from them and they are too detailed to outline. I'm drawing a blank - any ideas? georgia
Teresa
Hi Georgia, I am certainly not an expert (read my post on frogging) however I just did some lap quilts for the local school to auction off. Each block had a drawing or hand print (depending on the age of the children) so I quilted different style ?picture? frames around each block and meandered the rest... It placed the focus on the artwork and I got to doodle! They were very happy? It?s an idea!
