georgia
Has anyone out there tried the SID presser foot used to complete binding on the machine? It retails for $29.95 (Keepsake Quilting) and I am wondering if it works as well as claimed - it would save time and aggravation if it does work - just wondering. There are tons of goodies and gadgets - new business owners need to spend $$ only on what works. georgia
jeri
Are you talking about a walking foot or it's also called an even feed foot? If you are they work well as they help advance layers at the same time. jeri
azblondie
Clotilde has them too. $30. I seen a whole package of them at the sewing festival in Feb sold for $75. I just could not justify the $ as my binding is not that terrible. But would one day like to buy it. It makes perfect binding by machine every time. (invisable seams) No more hand binding anymore. I do enjoy binding by hand tho. Mary
georgia
No, it's not a walking foot - but one that has a slot the folded binding rides in allowing one to stitch in the ditch catching the binding on the back. (I'm not sure that gives a very good visual picture - you can check a photo out on Keepsake quilting's website - item #8281). Mary, can you recall the brand of those you saw at the sewing festival? georgia
