fabric_lover
Hi all, Sometimes you discover a product and the light bulb goes on. You think to yourself, neat idea, I wish I would have thought of that. As a new quilter, I was checking notions at a recent quilt show. One item I found was called a Swatch Keeper It was a way for me to keep track of my fabric swatches and projects. This product was intended for people like me. Just thought I share this cool find with others. Have any of you had a similar experience? fabric_lover
quiltingtina
I do something similar with inexpensive photo albums, and I include a post it note with how much yardage I have of the material. I can also have notes on what project a fabric is for, if I need more, etc. Cheap and easy. Good luck in your endeavor.
ffq-lar
I saw a Nancy's Notions show years ago about using placemats with zip-loc bags sewn inside to carry and store projects. I took a nice rectangular pot holder, sewed the bags inside with a piece of twill tape on top and put a button opposite the hanging loop to close. Every friend who quilts or sews got one for Christmas that year! I use mine to carry swatches to the fabric store and other samples of thread or such. Also, a list of whatever yardage I need. I sewed six bags inside. We call them our swatch wallets! Great project for a sewer's bazaar.
