pfrost
I've just taken possession of my Mille; it has the older style of channel locks, meaning that a magnet sets square to either the rail (horizontal) or carriage (vertical) & gets engaged when depressing either the yellow or red button (left handle). What I'm finding is that on the vertical channel lock, is that the magnet will engage (from front & the back handles), but won't disengage. On the horizontal channel lock, the magnet won't engage, but when tapped gently into position, it will disengage. Both magnets are set just barely off their respective rails; a folded business card will barely fit between the magnet & rail. Is there an adjustment I can make for this situation, or is it something I have to live with until upgrading? I was told that the older channel locks don't work as efficiently as the newer ones, but this seems a bit ridiculous to have to run around to the back of the machine to either engage manually (horizontal) or disengage manually (vertical)! Thanks for your help! Pat AZ:cool: APQS Mille
