kwilter
I am about to quilt a sampler that needs to be done for Thanksgiving. There are 12 blocks w/ sashing. The blocks are all based on either four or nine patch variations. Figuring out how to quilt something like this is tough for me. The woman loves feathers, hates hearts and flowers. I know where I can do some feathers and also incorporate some SID alternatives, but I need another idea, too. I don't know if I should be quilting something in every little piece that makes up each block? or use a stencil over the entire block? use the same stencil over all 12 blocks? (I have a digital camera, but unfortunately, don't know how to hook it up to my computer so I can post a picture.) Ugh. Any ideas?
Jerri
In my Webshot albums you can find a sampler using the same stencil in each block- Spring and Summer 2005 (Cindy's block of the month), and in Fall and Winter 2005 a sampler with freehand feathers in each block (Nancy's). http://community.webshots.com/user/jerquilts Hope this helps
kwilter
Jerri, I just checked out your suggestions and am grateful for the ideas. I like the idea of using the same feather design in each block and will now look for an appropriate pattern. Thanks again. Sharon:)
