PamLittle
When I look at the belly and quilt top bar, I feel like I would have to stay leaned forward in order to see the quilting area. I have been working on a Gammill and I love that the view on the frame is unobstructed. Would anyone care to give me their take on this. I am 60 and want to do some FMQ and computerized as well. Thanks! Pam
Sharon Deming
I have a Lenni, and use a tall saddle stool (from bizchair.com - search saddle stool). It comes with an adjustable foot ring. I sit on it in the lowest height, then elevate it - hanging onto the roller for stability - to the height that gives me the best view of my work. Of course, occasionally I need to lean forward to figure out where I'm going next, but not to quilt. I lower it again to get off. A big advantage to the stool for me is to be able to sit down comfortably for pantograph work. I'm 71.
Beachside Quilter
Pam, you can remove the quilt top roller and replace with a Texas Hold Em which allows full access to your quilting area. Some folks who only float their quilt tops use this method and prefer it!!

Beachside Quilter
Here ya go, Ann! http://shop.apqs.com/Texas-Hold-em-Bracket_p_250.html Remove "quilt top roller" and replace with Texas-Hold-Em bracket so brake can function.
